St. Faustina Kowalska

Patron: Mercy

St.Faustina Kowalska, the Apostolate of Divine Mercy, is a soul chosen to be a vessel of Jesus's great mercy onto the whole world. Born in Poland to a poor family, St.Faustina carries little except a great desire for God—one deepened by mystical encounters with Jesus in her youth.

In great trust of Jesus, Faustina abandons her life at 20 years old for the convent. Secluded from the world, her intimacy with Jesus deepens through great consolations and messages from the Lord alongside severe spiritual and physical sufferings.

During one encounter, Faustina is met by the Risen Lord in a white garment, emanating rays of red and blue, which the Lord denotes as blood and water. Jesus entrusts Faustina with her mission: to be his messenger of Divine Mercy: a devotion through which Jesus lavishes sinners with His great mercy.

Faustina's mystical spirituality, intimacy with Christ, and Marian devotion is a reflection of Jesus's great compassion and the depth of the relationship He desires to have with each of us.
